An exceptional dressn folder with a "no visible screw construction" and a Kernmantel blade forged of Campo del Cielo Meteorite with O1 tool steel core.
The Kernmantel blade rotates on a ball bearing system and is exceptionally smooth. Kernmantle (a laminate), with a soild core of O1 tool steel with a layer of Damascus on each side.A titanium liner engages on the tool steel, as otherwise the fairly soft meteorite would show wear quickly and cause a loose lock up. Campo del Cielo Meteorite bolsters have have been
etched and then hot salt blued to a spectacular display of colors. Select earth tone mammoth ivory scales make the handle of the folder. The thumbstud was machined from solid 14ct yellow gold and set with a AAA grade ruby. Spine and titanium liners are file worked and the back bar is also inlaid with ammonite.
